I Samuel Wilbor of Chatham, County of Columbia, and State of New York, being through the goodness of God of a sound disposing mind and memory do now make and order this my last will and testimony and as to such things as it hath pleased divine providence to provide me with in this life, I give devise and dispose of in the following manner and form. Vis. In the first place my will is and I do hereby order all my just debts and funeral charges to be paid out of my personal estate by my executors here after named. Also I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Cornelia Wilbor the uses of profits of the real estate I and Edmond has now in possession with the wood lots which I purchased of Nihemiah Reynolds and the rents of the leased lots on or within the aforesaid premises with the improvements there on during her natural life, she making no waste thereon or destruction nor suffer it to be done by others and I hereby give and bequeath to my son Samuel S. Wilbor the uses and profits of the farm where on he now lives and improves during his and his wifes natural lives he and they making no waste or destruction consisting of the farm given to me by my father and the farm known by the name of the Thomas farm be the same more or less. I hereby give my daughter Hannah Hoag, wife of Thomas Hoag all my Turnpike stock in the Canaan and Union Village Turnpike Road to be at her only disposal that I hold at this date. I hereby give Rensselaer Hoag and Samuel Hoag sons of the aforesaid Thomas and Hannah the sum of four hundred dollars each when they shall come of lawfull age in case my decease should take place before that time other wise on demand.
I hereby give to each of the sisters, Rensselaer and Samuel aforesaid that is Cornelia Hoag, Mary Hoag and Eliza Hoag the sum of two hundred dollars each. I hereby to my grandson Samuel Wilbor son of Samuel S. Wilbor I give all the real estate that I first gave my wife Cornelia the uses and profits of during her natural life and to take possession at her death with a right to receive all the rents received on lots leased on the premises durable or therewise. I hereby give to my grandson Edward Wilbor son of Samuel S. Wilbor aforesaid all the land and premises that the uses and profits is first given to my son Samuel S. Wilbor and his wife during their natural lives for ever. Consisting of lands as aforesaid given to me by my father and the Thomas farm to come into said Edwards possession at and after their deaths. I hereby give to my granddaughter Maria Wilbor daughter of Samuel S. Wilbor the sum of five hundred dollars to be paid to her at her coming to the tear of eighteen if my death should take place before that time otherwise on demand. Continued I hereby give to Cornelia Wilbor, ------------- and Eliza Wilbor daughters of the aforesaid Samuel S. Wilbor the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars each to be paid over to as aforesaid to their sister Maria. Also I give to Annis Hump formerly Annis Brown the sum of one hundred dollars also I have given unto each of my tenants that does or may hold leased lots or houses of me one years rent to commence from and after the first of May after my decease. And lastly I give unto Cornelia Wilbor my wife all residue of my property not otherwise aforementioned donations I give unto Cornelia my wife aforesaid in lieu of her third part of my estates. Also I do hereby ordain constitute and appoint Isaac Mills and Stephen Wilbor of Chatham my lawfull executors to this my last will and testament making null and void all other wills and testament in where of I the above said Samuel Wilbor have revision to or set my and seal this fourth day November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen. Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Samuel Wilbor his last will and testament in the presence of Thomas Taber, Joshua Gifford, Daniel Lovejoy.
